Zeynep: Merhaba, dostum.
Zeynep: Hi, buddy.
Gözde: Merhaba, kanka.
Gözde: Hi, buddy.
Zeynep: Ne var, ne yok?
Zeynep: What is there, and what isn't there (what's up)?
Gözde: Eh işte, idare ediyorum. Sende ne var ne yok?
Gözde: Meh, I'm managing/coping. What is there and isn't there with you (what's up with you)?
Zeynep: İyilik. Bu arada, sanki iyi değilsin. Sanki, çok yorgunsun.
Zeynep: Goodness (It's good). By the way, it's as if you aren't ok. It's as if (seems that) you are very tired.
Gözde: Aynen kanka. Çok yorgunum. İşler çok yoğun. Dinlenmek için zaman bulmak zor.
Gözde: Exactly buddy. I'm very tired. Work is hectic. It's hard to find time to rest.
Zeynep: Doğru, ama dinlenmek çok önemli. Sağlıklı olmak için her gece en az sekiz saat uyumak lazım.
Zeynep: That's true but resting is very important. It is necessary to sleep at least 8 hours every night in order to be healthy.
Gözde: İşte, o kadar vakit bulmak, çok zor.
Gözde: You see, finding that much time is very hard.
(Note: The words "vakit" and "zaman" for the most part are interchangeable.)
Zeynep: Allah sana kolaylık versin.
Zeynep: May God give you ease.
Gözde: Amin kanka.
Gözde: Amen buddy.

Müşteri: Merhaba, kolay gelsin.
Customer: Hello, hope it comes with ease (seems easy).
Satıcı: Sağ ol. Buyurun.
Seller: Be healthy (thanks). How can I help you?
Müşteri: Bir pantolon almak istiyorum.
Customer: I want to buy a pair of trousers.
Satıcı: Nasıl bir pantolon istiyorsunuz?
Seller: What kind of trousers do you want?
(Note: "Nasıl" is made up from the words "Ne + Asıl" which literally means "what is the reality". Now this doesn't help much in understanding how to use the word. The best way to think about the word is that it asks for a description, either a description of the type, state, or how something happened as well as any other form of description such as the degree of an adjective.)
Müşteri: Düz kesim, dar paça, yüksek bel bir pantolon istiyorum.
Customer: I want straight cut, skinny leg, high waisted pants.
Satıcı: Herhangi bir renk olur mu?
Seller: Is any colour ok?
Müşteri: Hayır, illa siyah bir pantolon istiyorum.
Customer: No, I absolutely (no matter what) want a black pair of pants.
Satıcı: Tamam buyurun. Seçenekler bunlar.
Seller: Sure, here you go. These are the choices.
Müşteri: Bu çok güzel! Yirmi sekiz beden var mı?
Customer: This is really nice! Is there a size 28?
(Note: "Beden" literally means body.)
Satıcı: Emin misin? Daha büyük bedenler de var.
Seller: Are you sure? There are bigger sizes too.
Müşteri: Yok eminim.
Customer: No I'm sure.
Satıcı: Peki, bir dakika efendim.
Seller: Alright, one minute sir.

Müşteri: Hayırlı işler.
Client: Blessed/Prosperous work.
Emlakçı: Sağ ol. Buyurun.
Realtor: Be healthy (Thanks). How can I help you?
Müşteri: Bir ev tutmak istiyoruz.
Client: We want to hold (rent) a house.
(Note: "Tutmak" literally means to hold but can be used for various things such as to rent or hire.)
Emlakçı: Nasıl bir ev istiyorsunuz?
Realtor: What kind of house do you want?
Müşteri: Üç artı bir, bir ev istiyoruz.
Client: We want a 3+1 house.
Emlakçı: Öyle bir ev var ama kira biraz pahalı.
Realtor: There is such a house but the rent is a bit expensive.
Müşteri: Ne kadardır?
Client: How much is it?
(Note: The question was "Ne kadar" and not "kaç" because the requested response consists of a number and unit i.e. currency. Had the unit i.e currency, been specified, then the question could have been asked using "kaç" i.e. "Kaç TL" instead of "Ne kadar".)
Emlakçı: Aylık kırk bin TL.
Realtor: 40,000 TL a month.
Müşteri: Vay! O bayağı pahalı. Daha uygun bir seçenek yok mu?
Client: Wow! That is really expensive. Isn't there a more suitable/affordable option.
Emlakçı: Maalesef yok ama haftaya belki olur.
Realtor: Unfortunately there isn't, but next week maybe there will be.
Müşteri: Tamam o zaman. Haftaya görüşürüz.
Client: Alright then. We'll meet next week.
Emlakçı: Görüşmek üzere.
Realtor: We'll see each other soon.

Müşteri: Merhaba! Kolay gelsin.
Client: Hello, hope it comes with ease (seems easy).
Kuaför: Sağ ol. Buyurun.
Hairdresser: Be healthy (Thanks). How can I help you?
Müşteri: Saçımı kestirmek istiyorum lütfen.
Client: I want to get my hair cut, please.
Kuaför: Tıraş da olmak istiyor musunuz?
Hairdresser: Do you also want to be shaved?
Müşteri: Hayır, bıyığımı ve sakalımı uzatmak istiyorum.
Client: No, I want to elongate (grow out) my moustache and beard.
Kuaför: Peki, saçınızı nasıl kestirmek istiyorsunuz?
Hairdresser: Alright, how do you want your hair to be cut?
Müşteri: Yanları kısa kestirmek istiyorum ama üstleri uzatmak istiyorum, fakat kırık uçları makas ile kestirmek istiyorum.
Client: I want to have the sides cut short but I want to elongate (grow out) the top, but I want the split (broken) ends (tips) to be cut with a scissor.
Kuaför: Tamam. Bir de, saçınızı yıkatmak istiyor musunuz?
Hairdresser: Alright, do you also want to get your hair washed?
Müşteri: Hayır, teşekkürler.
Client: No thanks.
--- (20 minutes later) ---
Kuaför: Sıhhatler olsun.
Hairdresser: Good health.
(Note: Usually "sıhhatler" is pronounced very similarly to "saatler". This is a phrase said to people after they've had a shower, haircut or shave.)
Müşteri: Sağ ol. Ellerinize sağlık.
Client: Be healthy (Thanks). Good health to your hands.
(Note: "Ellerinize sağlık" is a phrase commonly said to people as appreciation for something that they've done with their hands such as, cooking food, giving a haircut, etc.)
Kuaför: Sağ ol.
Hairdresser: Be healthy (Thanks).
Müşteri: Borcum ne kadar?
Client: How much is my debt (How much do I owe you)?
Kuaför: Beş yüz TL, efendim.
Hairdresser: 500 TL, sir.
Müşteri: Buyurun.
Client: Here you go.
Kuaför: Teşekkürler. Allah sana bereket versin.
Hairdresser: Thank you. May God give you blessings.
(Note: "Allah bereket versin" is a prayer to wish that God blesses something and sort of increases it. For instance here the hairdresser is referring to the client's money and hoping that God make the client richer. This is sometimes used when receiving things and in particular money, i.e. to say I hope that you giving me what you gave me doesn't decrease your resources and God gives you blessings so that you have more after what you have given me.)
